syncrolift main hoist rope

Syncrolift® shiplift systems Syncrolift AS supplies two types of shiplifts, a traditional Rigid Platform and an Articulated Platform. Both are essentially a large elevator consisting of a structural steel platform, a selected number of electrically powered wire rope hoists to raise and lower the platform, and a central electrical motor control center to operate the system.

Main hoist These ropes are typically used to raise loads during the construction of high-rise buildings it is therefore essential that the ropes have extremely low rotational properties to allow loads to be lifted without rotating for accurate placement

Main hoist ropes The hoist ropes are used to raise and lower the loads normally handling general cargo and require anti-rotational properties to prevent uncontrolled rotation/ spinning of the cargo. Bridon-Bekaert offer a range of low rotational multi strand constructed ropes for this application.

A 3eries of 92 identical SYNCROLIFT» hoists {each rated at 387 tonnes lifting capacity, 400 tonnes static) are positioned along each side of the platform (i.e. 46 on each side), each supporting one end of a transverse main beam by wire rope reeved through sheaves mounted on the beam and at the hoi3t.

High performance steel wire ropes used as main hoist ropes may be either rotation resistant ropes (e.g. EVOLUTION TK16, EVOLUTION TK18, EVOLUTION TK17, EVOLUTION TK 27) or non-rotation resistant ropes, which are mainly used in the field of harbor and industry applications (e.g. EVOLUTION Q8, EVOLUTION QS816V, EVOLUTION Q810V and EVOLUTION Q9XT PLUS), whereas only rotation resistant steel wire ropes are used as auxiliary hoist ropes.

Pearlson Shiplift Corporation (PSC) is pleased to be the largest provider in the World for OEM Shiplift Spare Parts. As the owner of all Alten / Westerman / Worthington Shiplift Hoist and Marine Gearbox Proprietary design drawings, PSC has cemented its role as the exclusive source for more than 90% of the operating shiplift machinery presently operating in the World today.

The TEUFELBERGER boom hoist rope is essential for safely lifting heavy loads by means of crawler cranes at extremely high working heights and radii. The non-rotation resistant high performance steel wire ropes ensure that the boom and the auxiliary boom can be positioned precisely and smoothly. Sometimes, the adjustment of booms of crawler cranes requires several ropes featuring highest break loads, excellent spooling characteristics in multilayer spooling as well as high wear resistance.

Raise and Hoist the Mainsail with Ease

Jul 23, 2018 · The mainsail is raised up the mast by the main halyard, a rope or wireline that rises from deck level to the masthead, through a block, and down to a shackle that connects to the top corner of the mainsail, the head. The halyard may also rise up through the mast to reduce windage aloft, as in the boat shown in this photo, and exit at a point
